Courses and Subjects

Students are required to pick a minimum of 3 courses. Some vocational courses offer a double award (e.g. Health and Social Care) meaning only one other course would be required. Please see full course details on Help You Choose for more information.

Our courses are all substantial qualifications (that are delivered in a minimum of 580 hours) that stretch our students and prepare them for later life or further study.  Alongside this, all students have the opportunity to undertake work experience to develop their career choices whilst applying their skills.  Other activities to deliver students’ character, skills, confidence and attitudes are delivered during our daily 20 minute Personal Development sessions.

When choosing your courses, subjects are arranged into timetable groups called Option Blocks (e.g., Block A, Block B, Block C, Block D). Because all subjects listed within the same block are taught at the exact same time, you can only select one subject from each block.
