Welcome to Athena Sixth Form College!

We are proud to be a community-centred sixth form where every student is known, valued and supported. Our ethos is built upon individualised provision – both within and outside the classroom – to provide every learner with the guidance to reach their full potential.

Athena offers a wide range of courses offered across both A-Levels and vocational options to build a pathway to suit the needs and ambitions of all students. Our small class sizes allow expert teachers to deliver bespoke provision, support and feedback. This academic offering is complemented by guaranteed pastoral support, which includes a dedicated pastoral tutor and a tailored PSHE programme. Our specially trained staff also offer 1:1 guidance meetings according to student needs, including CV writing, job and apprenticeship applications, UCAS for university applications and careers advise.

We also offer a vibrant enrichment programme to help foster the leadership and social skills students need to thrive in the world beyond our walls. These include volunteering and work experience opportunities, international trips available to the whole cohort (e.g. to the Maasai Mara in Kenya), subject-specific trips (e.g. to CERN), as well as a range of domestic trips and visiting lecturers.

We pride ourselves on knowing each student as an individual and providing a carefully curated and holistic experience that best prepares each learner for life beyond education.
